my creative space ... sewing

Hello again to all of the creative spacers out there - happy new year!

Sewing has been the name of the game this week. I was spurred on by a recent purchase of a dress form which is great fun to dress up! Yesterday, I made this linen skirt that I printed the fabric for months ago - it felt good to make something just for me.

I've also been sewing up some of the printed gingham from a couple of weeks ago ...

... into some aprons for the store ...

... as well as some nice natural (hemp/organic cotton) ones too!

Whilst all of the sewing was going on, I oven roasted some roma tomatoes for dinner (a good excuse to practice the macro function on my camera too) ... delish!

I hope you're having a good day in your creative space. Drop in at Kootoyoo to visit everyone else or play along yourself!

Oooh, everything is looking very pretty and ever so creative at your place this week!

I really, really, like your skirt, it's very nice indeed!

Love the skirt, LOVE the prints. The aprons are too beautiful for me to wear while preparing roma tomatoes. We would all be aghast at the excessive splattered-tomato-on-apron action....

just gorgeous Nic, love your style. Although I agree with Tania, the tomatoes and the lovely linen aprons would be a no-go for me too!

Your aprons are beautiful. Where did you purchase your lovely model from? I would love to buy a child size one to display my aprons.

I love the skirt! And given my obsession with artichokes, I REALLY love the artichoke on natural!

Experiencing dress-form envy... it's such a great prop for your apron shots too. I'm digging the white on natural.

That’s a fantastic skirt Nic; it looks like you have been super busy at the sewing machine. Those tomatoes look so tasty, I should try oven roasting me of the cherry tomatoes from our garden.
