my creative space ... blue

Lots of blue this week ... in the garden (purpley-blue!) ...

... and in the kitchen ... this was Little Misters idea - blue Cherry Ripe Slice! I love it! It makes me smile!

My actual creative space (the studio) was seriously flooded over the weekend with the deluge of rain and hail that Melbourne received. Nothing more to say, except that we all just make do and get on with it. No one was hurt, and that's the main thing. But it does make me feel a bit blue.

In less depressing news, I have been printing and sewing some tram roll menu aprons this week - thanks to those who requested them - you made my week. These are in the shop now ...

That was one really cool idea that your son had :)
I hope you get the studio up and going again. Looks like the rain and hail hasn't stop you from being productive at all Nic :)

Hi Nic, I hope its not too much work cleaning up the studio and I hope you didn't loose too much through it.

Cherry ripe...Mmmm....memories of Australia. Great blue colour..so unnatural and yet so right for cherry ripe I think! I just bought your menu t-towel (through the Mr's paypal account - clever, eh?) Can't wait to frame it and put it up somewhere, far too good to dry dishes with!

Blue is good as long as your not feeling it. Hope your studio is back ship-shape soon. Sorry to hear about the flooding.

Love the fabulous apron ... and am just a teeny bit disturbed by the blue slice (though I would eat it in a flash!)

What fabulous blues and purples in those flowers.

Blue cherry ripe - I am sure it is lovely but it just look wrong! I had green mashed potato once at a Halloween dinner --- logically I knew it would taste the same but my brain was fighting me.

Sorry to hear about your studio.

Major aaargh! on the studio front. Quick, stop to smell the flowers, scoff some Cherry Blue and gaze lovingly at that tram roll design, I say.

Oh no, so sorry to hear about the flooding... Love the apron ~ I could see cafe's snapping these up for their staff too ~ how gorgeous would that be!

Nooo!! I feel your pain. We had our studio flooded 2 years ago just after we moved... Insane! Think of it like a bush fire. Once the damage is done new life and inspiration will follow!!

Sorry to hear about the flooding too. I do love blue food, it seems so unnatural and naughty to eat anything blue that isn't a berry and I love it! :)

That's terrible about your studio Nic! Sorry to hear that and hope it doesn't need too big a clean up. Your blue cherry ripe slice made me smile too :) K

I hope your blue mood lifts soon. I’m afraid I couldn’t eat that blue slice! I made playdough that colour yesterday, it’s a great colour, I just couldn’t eat it.

Wow, how on earth did you make blue cherry ripe? Sorry to hear about your studio. Is that your second flood or am I imagining things. I hope it all dries out and you are back creating soon.

my kids would love that, i tell them i don't believe in blue food (except berries and cheese) sorry about the flood, you do have some bad luck with big puddles on rainy days. we got flooded here but were all fine. you are right, as long as no one gets hurt

Oh sorry to hear about your studio :-( Love the blue cherry ripe slice! Reminds me of my sister when we were young she always wanted to colour everything red/pink! Particularly mash potato!!

I can't believe that you guys got flooded again Nic. Your words are very positive... I hope your head is feeling the same, and that your heart is getting there too. You are well and trully justified to be feeling a little blue.
