Tasmanians can now buy Yardage Design homewares from a lovely, brand new shop called The Eco Nook in North Hobart. Rebekah opened her shop just this week (how exciting is that!), and it looks divine ...

new stockist ... jellywares

Jodie from Jellywares in Cobar, NSW, is the latest stockist of Yardage Design fabric and bunting panels.

We actually lived in Cobar for a few years (about 10 years ago). I loved my time there, and still stay in touch with friends we made. I am so thrilled that the town now has a gorgeous shop like Jellywares selling wonderful handmade and home-grown products and produce. You can check out Jodie's excellent blog here.

new stockist ... funky fabrix

You can now buy my {exclaim} hand printed fabric and bunting panels at the totally lovely Funky Fabrix shop (and online) in Brisbane.

When my Little Mister was born (4 years ago), I was constantly buying fabric on ebay from Funky Fabrix - they had/have the best range of boys fabric around. Since then, they have grown and now have a real life as well as a virtual shopfront. I would never have dreamed that a few years down the track that I would be designing fabric that would be available there too. I'm chuffed!

Thanks to Shona for liking my wares, and hooray for my first stockist in Queensland! The Funky Fabrix blog is here.

new stockist ... maker handmade, south melbourne

A selection of Yardage Design tea towels and cushions can now be found at the newly opened Maker Handmade shop in South Melbourne. Owner Rachael Kelly opened Maker Handmade just last week and stocks a range of high quality homewares, ceramics, jewellery, textiles and other unique items. I dropped into the shop on Friday for a chat and to take a look ...

:: Rachael in her lovely shop, Maker Handmade ::
Maker Handmade is a beautiful, light filled, fresh looking space. The gorgeous handmade items are displayed cleverly with vintage furniture and props, as well as a brilliant selection of Aboriginal art courtesy of Rachael's husband who owns the art gallery next door.

Rachael has also just started blogging for the first time - pop over here to welcome this self confessed "craft groupie" to blogland!

Have a great week!

new stockist ... one sydney road

I am so pleased to be able to announce that the beautiful online store one sydney road is now open, and a stockist of Yardage Design homewares. It is so exciting to have my first international stockist!

Piper Toth is the owner of this Cleveland (Ohio, USA) based design emporium. Interestingly, she named her business after a trip to Australia, a place she describes as "amazing and inspiring" (so true, but I might be a little biased!). Piper also has a lovely blog, showcasing beautiful things she finds in the real and virtual world - it's an excellent design resource.

Best wishes Piper - you're living the dream of many ... enjoy!

Good luck to everyone in Australia having a flutter on the Melbourne Cup. It's a bit overcast here in Melbourne this morning, but hopefully the sun will be out for the race.

gallery grangie

You can now buy a selection of artichoke tea towels and market bags at Gallery Grangie, in Richmond (Melbourne). I had the pleasure of meeting Grangie herself this morning when I dropped off my goods. Gallery Grangie is an art space and hand made emporium, specialising in emerging artists. I am thrilled they have decided to stock my wares!

Gallery Grangie also run drawing classes in the evenings - for beginners and for new mums with baby's - how excellent is that! Gallery Grangie can be found at 323 Lennox Street, Richmond - just off Swan Street, near Richmond Station. Incase you needed another reason to visit Richmond, the amazing fabric store The Dancing Queen is just a couple of doors down from the gallery.

Have a good Thursday!

this morning ...

I'm printing black tram roll tea towels and fiddling with the camera on the tripod again (not great results on an overcast day, but getting the hang of it) ...

I just love lifting the screen and seeing a perfect print - it makes my day every time!
In other news, you can now buy Yardage Design homewares at State of Green which is an amazing online store specialising in designer lifestyle products that are sensitive to the environment. You can also read a short interview with me on the State of Green blog here.
Hope you're having a good Frydee!

new stockist: shop handmade in canberra

Only 2 more sleeps until Shop Handmade opens its doors for the very first time - how lucky are Canberrans!

This box of goodies will be arriving at the store today with a variety of my tea towels and aprons inside ...

I am thrilled to be involved in this exciting new store. As a relative newbie to all of this myself, it's nice to be on a journey with others who are also inspired and enthusiastic about all things handmade. I can't wait to get up to Canberra for a squizz, but in the mean time, I'm looking forward to lots of pics from locals (hint hint)!

new stockist: counter @ craft vic

You can now buy Yardage Design products at Craft Victoria's shop, COUNTER - 31 Flinders Lane, Melbourne. At the moment, they have lots of black vintage tramroll menu tea towels, as well as a brand new product (not a tea towel or an apron!) that won't be revealed on my blog until next week ... you'll just have to drop in to the store if you want an early sneak peak!

new stockist: little shop of ....

You can now buy Yardage Design products (along with lots of other wonderful handmade things by clever people) at Little Shop of ... in Carnegie, Melbourne.

Bec, the lovely owner of the store, stocks only handmade items from Melbourne and rural Victoria, supporting local designers and makers. It's worth a look if you haven't been (nothing is over $50), and Spotlight is just around the corner - double bonus!
Hope you're having a great week!
