nerd alert!

Introducing my new, fast, fully functioning, doesn't have a fit when you want to open more than one program, loads the internet properly, lovely, laptop ...

After much deliberation, I bought a 15 inch MacBook Pro. It's the first time I've used an Apple computer since first year uni ... a while ago! I have to say, it's quite different to a PC, but very intuitive and refreshing. It feels easy. I guess anything would be after living with a terminally ill PC for the last six months. The Apple service is also superb - they transferred files, installed software and setup my email. I just had to turn it on and it worked. The most seamless computer transition I've ever had, which is ironic when you think that this time I've changed operating systems completely. Anyway, the very good news for me is that I will be able to do a lot more blog visiting than I've been able to - not having to wait 10 minutes for pages to load (or not) is luxury! Thanks to everyone who left comments and emailed me with advice about choosing a Mac - I really appreciate it.

Must say I have never looked back from my mac purchase 2 years ago. If only EQ had a mac version though there are alternatives which are too expensive to explore at the moment. But I think I will end up replacing the kids PC with a Mac next time.

Oh yes, i bought one in July to take to my husband to use overseas & apart from loathing the Apple shopping experience, why do they let those geeks actually come face to face with non geek population is beyond me?? Anyway, very easy to use, but i like my number pad & wide screen, when my husband comes home we'll have both in the house. Personally so long as it works, i'm not that fussed on laptops!! Oh, apart from my love for the one which the nasty burglars took, bastards, i want to finish my tax you jerks!! Sigh, love Posie

Oooh, goodie for you! My husband surprised me with a MacBook a couple years ago after I'd been tolerating a very ill PC for months and months. I think he was tired of hearing me complain! ;) Apple's definitely got some differences, but I really, really like mine now that I've gotten used to it.
