I've been working on this cushion for a while ...
... and finally managed to finish it off today ...
It's the first of two entries I am making for the Royal Melbourne Show this year. The cushion cover is made from a green/blue demin I got from Lincraft a while ago, embellished with apple green stitching and a line of vintage buttons. I did an envelope back with some fancy machine stitching. I really enjoyed making this - it's nice to just make something because you feel like it. It's a lovely sunny day in Melbourne again (3 days in a row!!) so we're off the the playground. Have a great afternoon!

I agree about it being nice to make something just because you feel like it. And these cushions are just gorgeous. I love the green/denim combination.
That is gorgeous and looks like a lot of work. Good luck with the show!!!
I love it! The stitching and the little wave of buttons is just beautiful - a winner for sure! Enjoy this sunshine...
Very pretty. I like the simplicity, and the repeated lines are very "you." Great colors, too!
Oh go you! I never did register... just as well too because now I'd be stressing then chickening out... ;) Better to have piked early lol.
LOVING the sun, it's made me feel so frikkin happy all of a sudden... down with the drizzle!
It looks great! Love the way you used buttons:) Isn't it a lovely green threads colour for the jeans fabric!
Its lovely - I really like all those gorgeous green buttons. Good luck with your entry! I wonder what else you are entering?

That's gorgeous. Love stitching on denim and those buttons are fab!
That's lovely! I entered the cushion section at the Show last year and got second place. This year I'm too pregnant to make the effort! ;-)
Best of luck! Hope they don't pick some underwhelming patchwork creation again as this year's winner.
Perfection....Love the buttons!
Lovely... all the best with the show!
I had good intentions but now I've completely run out of time. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed that your gorgeous cushion wins a grand prize!
