Today I'm playing around with the embroidery function on my sewing machine (Janome Memory Craft 9700). I want to create some small "yardage design" signs on my circa fabric. This is the first go at it, using one of the default fonts on the machine ...
I think it's a bit heavy looking, so I'm going to use the Janome software to upload "yardage design" in the font I use for my logo and see how it goes. I like the teal cotton, though (no surprises there!). More creative spaces via Kootoyoo.

oh, you just reminded me! My sewing machine has an embroidery unit too....but I have no clue how to use it:( It actually scares me a bit as it looks so complicated!
Love the idea and cannot wait to see the final result!
In my next life I dream of having a sewing machine that can do that! You will be entertained for hours - share the pics please!
Very cool! Looks like you could have a lot of fun with this.
:)
What a great sewing machine you have. Have a fun day experimenting with fonts!
pea green jealous that you have a machine that's capable of such amazingness. I might need to discuss this with you further. I think my ancient clapped out Janome might be ready to be retired.
Love that colour too!
What a great idea, and fab to have such a machine!!x
HI Nicole, just discovered your blog and website. Amazing fabrics and prints - I will have a close look around as my brain is buzzing with the thought of one of your unique fabrics for a lily pad/topography project...
Oh wow that looks fantastic & sounds seriously tricky! I'm impressed!
Ah, the possibilties or embroidery, and with your own designs, no less.... fantastic!
Ooh! I like it!!!
I totally like it but I bet the lighter design will be perfection...So wish I had an embroidery machine!
Oh, an embroidery machine! Have fun experimenting. I think the teal cotton looks fabulous on that fabric.
Love it, fan of teal also, why not, i'm a blue girl from way back who loves green too!! Love Posie
wow - I would love your machine! I don't mind the heavy font, guess it depends what it is for?
Lucky thing! I have the most basic, old fashioned sewing machine (which I DO love) but every now and then I'd love to have some fancy functions to play around with.
fabulous idea! i think your font will turn out brilliantly, good luck
Very cool idea. I look forward to seeing more of the experiments!
I'm having an episode of Janome Jealousy right now!
Fancy! Looks so good.
I wanna see some pics of your knitting though.
Pretty please.
I'm with Cam on the Janome Jealousy! That is a veeeeeeeery pretty colour too!
It sounds like that machine of yours should also be able to tackle the laundry. Lucky chook!
Wow... Now that's something worth learning to drive!! Do you need a special licence for it?? Lol. I think a softer font would be ideal.. Like your logo of course... Can't wait to see...
Xo Steph
