bloggy homework

You may have noticed from my sidebar that I am doing the Blogging Your Way e-course (which is really excellent - I'm loving it!). We're into our third week, and our homework this week is to create an inspiration/mood board that depicts our blog. We weren't allowed to use anything digital to create it, so it was scissors and paste time with a stack of mags and other odds and ends. Here's what I came up with ...

I really enjoyed making this. The pictures and words (hopefully) convey what I'd like this blog to be in terms of style and content. I found it really useful and a worthwhile use of an hour or so on a Sunday afternoon. This A3 board is now going to live on my wall next to the laptop - as an inspiration and a reminder.
You should do one ... go on!

Great board Nic! Captures the very style of 'yardage design' I think. And so neat! makes me want to go back and shave off a few ratty edges of mine hahaha ... have a great Sunday, perfect weather in Melbourne today for ice-cream,

Wow, that collage is gorgeous, will be a great piece of inspiration for you. I too love the "make something" picture, and the tree in the background. Thanks for sharing, this is a great idea, also a great way to spend time with the kids, they can do their collage and I can do mine. :-)

I didn't think of using words of mine but they look great on yours. I can only imagine how long it took you to find them. x

The board looks great! I'm quite envious of you doing this course - I'm hoping she'll run another later in the year.

Isn't it funny how it wasn't that long ago that paper, scissors and glue where the main tools of creating! Great idea to put it somewhere you can always see it Nic.

And great that you are enjoying the course.

Hi Nic, I find your board so inspiring. I love all the red and am drawn to all the patterns. The plates look so pretty as does that pattern/texture in the lower right portion. Anyways, great work!!! Thank you.
