I know the Zara phenomenon is currently hitting Australia right now. Zara is a Spanish store that is now global. They also have Zara Home - infact there is one in the shopping centre near me, where today I found these cute button knobs on sale for just 5 euro ...
My experience of Zara so far is that it's good (lovely stores, great range, lovely colour palettes), but you need to be selective with their products (especially clothing). However, many products (usually the more expensive ones), and most of their homewares are well made, good quality and well priced. Their responsive business model is quite interesting (you can read about it in a brief article here). Have you been to Zara? What did you think?

Haven't been but I love those knobs.
Just read the business plan..interesting concepts..I like the knobs too. By the way I think you're incorrigible with your creativity..I wouldn't have imagined taking bunting on holiday..lol!!
They are just lovely.. cute!!!
I loved Zara when we lived in the UK.
It was something different and way more original than the other high street stores.
Those knobs are fantastic!!x
Love those knobs, but completely jealous that you are in Spain!
I love the clothes in Zara but to be honest have found the quality (of the items I bought in Spain and France) not so good. Seams unravelling and buttons falling off. Hmmm. I can't speak for the Aussie version - haven't ventured into the Sydney store yet but am keen to see if there's a difference.
There was a Zara store in Rotterdam when I worked there about 7 years ago, I agree it was good to be selective about what you bought, some strange styles and fits, but often I could find some nice things, even if they were just basic items. I didn't know they were Spanish. I'm off to have a read about them.
