the home stretch ...

Yep, for those with kids, you'll know what I mean. Don't get me wrong, I actually love the school holidays for the lack of routine, early starts and "school stuff" in general. It's nice to just have time together doing whatever ... like painting blue crocodiles!

BUT ... It's also kinda nice to know that they do end eventually (otherwise they wouldn't be special, would they?) and life will get back to "normal". For me, that means lots of things, but my favourite one is most definitely designing and printing!

Anyway, as the holidays draw to a close, the Yardage Design online shop has reopened. What are you planning to do once school goes back (if you have kids) or next week (if you don't)? I have a new fabric design to print as soon as I can finally decide on what colour(s) to print it in ~ suggestions welcome!

Hope you're having a great weekend!

I so agree with you. I have enjoyed the last two weeks with my three, but the thought of them back at school and out of the house on Monday is lovely and somehow soothing to my (nearly frazzled) nerves.
I will be spending the Monday morning righting' and cleaning the house, before spending some quality time with my sewing machine.
Colour suggestions: orange, teal and brown.

I'll be jumping head first into kids clothing week. I love red, but can never get enough of navy - the darker, the better.
