wales ...

This past week, we spent a few days exploring Wales for the first time. We started in the north around Snowdonia National Park and made our way south to Cardiff. Wales is such a stunning landscape dotted with fascinating stone villages and castles ~ we loved it! Here are a few of my pics ...

I loved Wales. The contrast with Australia is huge. The weather, landscape, accents, castles. We stayed with a friends family and they took us to the 'football.' (The more they drank, the quicker they spoke, the thicker their accents got and the less I understood them!) The supporters had to be kept separate in the stadium, they went to different pubs beforehand and left the game separately too. Even wearing the wrong colour shirt on game day could get you into trouble. Such an experience given that in Australia we think nothing of sitting alongside the oppositions supporters.

Love your photos too. :)
